Ken Wagner-Pizza officially became our Rector on
September 1st, 2008.
Ken grew up between Philadelphia and Allentown, graduating from
Pennridge High School in Perkasie, PA. After high school he attended
Mansfield University and then Elizabethtown College where he earned
a B.S. in Biology. He then worked for seven years at Merck & Co.,
in the vaccine division.
A career change was in order when Ken felt a strengthening call
toward ordained ministry. He was ordained as a deacon and then as a
priest in the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Pennsylvania
(Greater Philadelphia Area) in 2003. To prepare for this leadership
role he attended The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia
and received a Master's in Divinity from the Virginia (Episcopal)
Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia.
Ken loves ministering to the people of God by "proclaiming the
Gospel of Jesus by word and deed." He says, "It is a privilege to
see and nurture the love of God growing in all ages" and he has
worked with children, youth, families, and the elderly. He looks
forward to many years of shared ministry at Trinity Episcopal
Church.
Ken is married to Becky who grew up in Oriole, PA, in the Nippenose
Valley. They have two little boys named Zachary and Alex. They enjoy
gardening, traveling, movies, hiking, swimming and of course growing
together as a family.
